Pagination

Webflow CMS pagination relies on a live connection to Webflow. Since WCH projects are self-hosted, pagination is handled differently during the build process.

How it works

To enable pagination in WCH, add the class below to your pagination wrapper element:.wch-pagination.

This should be applied to the Webflow pagination wrapper:.w-pagination-wrapper.

When this class is present, WCH will:

• Detect pagination on the page
• Fetch each paginated state
• Generate static pages for each page in the sequence
  (e.g. /blog/page/2, /blog/page/3, etc.)

Dynamic pagination (optional)

WCH provides JavaScript that can be used to enhance pagination with a more dynamic, client-side experience. This can be layered on top of the static pages depending on your needs. Please talk with your WCH support team member for more information.

Important considerations

• Pagination increases the number of pages generated during a build, which can impact publish time.
• Pagination on CMS template pages can introduce complexity and may lead to publishing issues.

If you plan to use pagination within CMS templates, please coordinate with WCH support before implementing.
